Mike was a great guy who would do anything for anyone. My children thought the world of him as well as he did of them. Every Tuesday he would meet me at the door with a chocolate milk for my son, and a smile on his face. That's just the kind of guy he was. He spoke of his family so kindly, and of his time in Alaska. He had such wonderful stories, and photos to back them up. He just loved it there, and that was where he took his most amazing photos.
He will be greatly missed. +(Mike to us you will always be "A real cowboy".)

Mike was one of my dearest friends as we were all growing up. He would do whatever was needed and ask nothing in return. I have many memories of laughter and fun. I am sorry for all of us to have lost him at such a young age.

It breaks my heart to have to be writing this. It's way too soon to have to say good-bye. I loved Mike, like most everyone who met him did. He was like a big brother to me. He was kind, patient, and generous. I never liked venison until I had some of Mike's venison. He cooked me so many dinners, let me stay at his house, do my laundry, and put up with my nonsense so many times, always looking back with his kind eyes. I loved talking to him about his adventures in Alaska, and how he loved the outdoors. I have many happy memories of skiing with Mike at Jay Peak, and laughing with him. What a funny, smart, kind, and giving friend he was. We were so lucky to have him in our lives! My heart goes out to your family, and Mike's friends, and I send my love.

We have fond memories of Mikey, he lived with us as a member of our family in his off season in Alaska, where he worked as a guide. Mike took beautiful pictures and recounted many stories of his time in the Alaska wilderness. Our thoughts are with his family at this time. We will always think of him as a member of our Alaska family.

All he did was give, give and give some more....without ever asking for anything in return. I never met anyone with a bigger heart.....he will be missed without a doubt.

Even though I didn't know you personally I got to know you through my son in law and daughter. All the stories they told of you, and all the good times you had. They told me that you were a very caring person, and that you were good to everyone that you came into contact with. You left a smile in their hearts. You will be greatly missed!!
