Age: 74 • Underhll/Alburgh
Michael F Lamphere, age 74, passed away suddenly Tuesday, July 4, 2017 in St Albans at Northwestern Medical Center.
Michael was born February 7, 1943 in Waterbury CT, son of Lynford and Kathleen Lamphere. He graduated from Burlington High School in 1961 followed with service in the Army National guard, and further technical education. Michael was a loving father and together with Georgiana Carr had three sons, Bryan, Ian and Judson. Michael married Willeen Burbank in 1987 and blended his family with two stepsons Christopher and Paul Kayhart.
An avid entrepreneur, Michael took great pride in providing for his family while being his own boss. Through the years he supported resident communities with local jobs, and passionate volunteer civil service, most recently serving as Director of the Alburgh Senior Center, and Alburgh Business Community Treasurer. Michael also previously served as Commander of American Legion Post 60 in Alburgh.
Michael is survived by his wife Willeen Burbank of Alburgh, brothers Jeffrey and Wendy Lamphere of Peacham, Mark and Teri Lamphere of Milton and Fayette and Andrea Lamphere of Sudbury. His children and their families; daughter Christina and Mathew Brown of South Burlington, sons Bryan Lamphere and Katie England of Sebago Maine, Judson Lamphere and Monica Donavan of Burlington, Daughter-In-Law Elizabeth Lamphere, stepsons Christopher and Lynn Kayhart of Ferrisburgh and Paul Kayhart and Laura Walker of Cambridge as well as several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Michael is predeceased by his son Ian Lamphere.
The funeral service will be held Thursday July 13th, 11:00 AM, with reception to follow at the American Legion Post 60, 35 North Main Street, Alburgh VT. The Reverend Kerry T. Cameron will officiate.

To Bryan, Willie and extended family: I had the pleasure of knowing Michael to be invited into his and Willie's home. Once you had been there you were treated like family. Michael was friendly, generous, and either smiling or laughing; and it was contagious . I'm so sad for the many, many people he has left behind. Micheal may you Rest In Peace! Rhonda, Brian and I are all very sorry to see Mike's notice of his passing. It has been many years since we have gotten together but going to VT to visit Aunt Olive and Uncle Perry and the cousins etc was always a big hit with us. Our families are all gown and time passes faster and faster. Know that he will be missed.

Michael you'll be greatly missed. I'll raise a glass in toast to you as we have done so many times in the past. You may be gone, but you'll never be forgotten. I often think of the fun we had in the NEK. My sincere condolences to the family. I never met his second family but Mike, Jeff and I had many memorable times together.
