RICHARD ARCHAMBAULT Obituary

RICHARD J. ARCHAMBAULT -MILTON/RICHFORD - Richard J. Archambault, 86, died peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday morning, Sept. 26, 2012, in the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans. Richard was born on Nov. 19, 1925, in Richford, the son of Eli and Lucille (Lamell) Archambault. He graduated from Richford High School and enlisted in the Merchant Marines, serving during W.W.II. Upon his return, he married Elaine Lumbra on Sept. 27, 1947, in All Saints Catholic Church in Richford. He began work at Atlas Plywood then worked for the Sheldon Paper Mill, later called Boise Cascade, retiring in 1988, following 33 years of employment. Richard enjoyed his family, his grandchildren, fishing, hunting and going to deer camp. He also loved playing golf and had fond memories of his many rounds at the Richford Country Club, where he was on the Board of Directors. He also served on many local government boards, such as Town Selectman, Village Trustee, Richford Economic Development Association and was a Justice of the Peace. In addition to his wife, Elaine of Milton; Richard is survived by his children, Richard A. and wife, Phyllis, of Sheldon Springs, Eli of Bryan, Texas, Bruce and wife, Mary, of Uxbridge, Mass., Joanne of Bryan, Texas, and David and wife, Gail, of Milton; and six grandchildren, Nathan, Lacey and husband, Andrew, Luneau, Jason, Danielle, Kyle and Haley. He is also survived by two sisters and two brothers. Richard was predeceased by his grandson, Matthew Alex; as well as numerous brothers and sisters. A Celebration of Life Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, in All Saints Catholic Church in Richford at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in All Saints Catholic Cemetery.
