John Deyo Obituary

John Lynn Deyo, 67, of Burnet, TX, passed away March 5, 2025.

He was born March 16, 1957, in Paris,

France, grew up in Oxford, MD, and then moved to Texas.

He graduated from St Edward's University with a BA and an MA from Austin Presbyterian Theological

Seminary.

Preceded in death by his parents, LTC Truman E Deyo (USA) and Jacquelyn Louise Deyo of Oxford, MD,

he is survived by siblings Truman E Deyo I and Debra K Deyo of Lampasas, TX and Robert a Deyo and

wife, Jackie, of Mt Airy, MD and numerous Nieces and Nephews. His beloved Daughter, Elizabeth

Alabi and husband, T J, along with Grandchildren Ethan and Madeline live in Missouri City, TX.

After playing Basketball at Severn and Easton High School he continued his love of sports following

Duke Basketball and the Baltimore Orioles. John attended the Duke Summer Basketball Camp for

several years.

A memorial service will be held at the East Lake Fellowship, CR 2341, Burnet, TX.

John loved to perform missionary service spreading the gospel.

"In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead ,and in view of his

appearing his kingdom, I give you this charge: Preach the Word: be prepared in season and out of

season; correct, rebuke, and encourage - with great patience and careful instruction." (2 Timothy 3:1-

2)-
