Rita Bostic Obituary

On March 3, 2024, Rita Reyne Bostic passed away peacefully at St David's South Austin Hospital after a long battle with Stage 4 breast cancer that had metastasized. She was 61 years old.

Rita is survived by her husband, Todd Bostic; their children, Chris (Dana) Bostic, Gable (Claire) Bostic, Calen (Jodi) Bostic, and Cidney (Chris) Gregg; their grandchildren, Carter and Corbin Bostic, Otis Bostic, Camden, Cannon and soon to be Jovi Jo Bostic, Riley and soon to be baby Gregg; multiple siblings & her dear Mother in law of 40 years Jo Bostic " Sweetie " . Rita was preceded in death by her mother and father, and a sister.

Rita was born on February 14th, 1963 to Virginia Richie Parker and Terry Parker in Cameron, TX. Rita moved from Oregon to Burnet, TX when she was in the 2nd grade. She graduated from Burnet High School in 1981. She worked for A&O Pharmacy and learned many things from her mentor Roy Oakley. She met the love of her life, Todd Bostic, in 1983 and married on March 3rd of 1984. Rita worked at First State Bank of Burnet for many years, then became a stay at home mom and helped run their family business, Bostic Co. Rita was such a vibrant, fun, spirited soul that enjoyed nothing more than her family. She would sacrifice anything to help them. She was a woman of God and knew where her final home would be.

Rita and Todd enjoyed many happy years together traveling, building a business and creating a beautiful family. She passed away on their 40th wedding anniversary at 4pm on March 3rd 2024. A celebration of life for Rita is scheduled for Thursday, March 7th, 2024 at 2pm at Clements Wilcox, with burial to follow at Oatmeal Cemetery. A visitation will be held before services at 1pm.

Rita was a wonderful soul. She was always so sweet and upbeat. I first met her when I was in high school. Glad I was able to know such a great person. May the days ahead be filled with Gods strength and lots of family Love. My thought are with you!!
