Jane Mossman

JANE EMRICH MOSSMAN Jane Emrich Mossman passed away peacefully on January 9, 2025, just having reached the age of 83, surrounded by her loving family. Jane was born on January 9, 1942, in El Dorado, Kansas, to Donald and Bernice (Ferry) Emrich. She graduated from El Dorado High School in 1960, and in the same year, was united in marriage to Paul Eugene Mossman, her partner for life. Jane's strong work ethic and determination led her to earn a Master's degree in Business Administration from Wichita State University. She worked as a controller for Professional Engineering Consultants in Wichita, Kansas, and dedicated many years of her career to the company, retiring from that role in 2008. A passionate learner, Jane was an avid reader, always seeking knowledge and wisdom from the books she loved. She found joy in reading something that would allow her to grow and learn. Her deep faith also played an important role in her life, and she was an active member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Wichita, where she contributed her time and talents to her church family. Jane also found happiness watching red birds flutter in her yard and admiring the beautiful flowers that her family lovingly planted for her. She is survived by her daughter, Toni (Troy) Scott, and Terri McCune; grandchildren, Paul (Julie) Scott, James (Kim) Scott, Matthew Scott, Thomas (Jaden) Scott, Jamie McCune, and David (Amy) McCune; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, Evelyn Jost and Sydney (Rick) Nelson; brother-in-law, Bob Mossman; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Jane was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Paul. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at Carlson Funeral Home. A graveside service will immediately follow at Sunset Lawns Cemetery. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Wichita on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Stephen's Episcopal Church of Wichita, in honor of Jane's devotion to her faith and community.
