JOAN BRINKMAN Obituary

JOAN "JO" BRINKMAN Joan "Jo" Brinkman, 76, of Augusta, KS, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2023 at home. Visitation 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Sunday, April 16, 2023 and service 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 17, 2023, both at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta, KS. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery Augusta, KS. Jo was born in Fayetteville, AR on December 1, 1946, to the late Velma "Avis" (Johnson) and Jesse James Epperson. She was a homemaker for most of her life and had also worked as a laundry supervisor at Lakepoint Nursing Home. On May 10, 1975 she married Kenneth Brinkman in Augusta, KS who survives her. She is also survived by: daughter, Gloria De Peace-Strange and husband Curtis Strange of Fayetteville, AR; brothers, Randy Epperson and Rodney Epperson of Augusta, KS; sisters, Jane Schwind of Huntsville, AR, Carol Boswell of Derby, KS, Kandi Parson of Augusta, KS; grandchildren, Ryan Brazell (Montana), Echo Hopper (Matt), Matt Brazell (Caitlin), Kaysie Konnoff (Sam); 12 great grandchildren; step son, Jason Brinkman and wife Susan of Emporia, KS; step grandchild, Ian Brinkman. She was preceded in death by her brother, James Epperson. Memorial donations to Christ Lutheran Church 1500 Cron Augusta, KS 67010.
