LYNN WEGE

LYNN WEGE Lynn Edward Wege was born on January 26, 1936 in Onaga, Kansas; the son of Herbert and Agnus (Aubert) Wege. He was an experienced semi-truck driver that drove for White and Ellis Drilling and in more recent years Hogoboom Trucking. Lynn faithfully served his country in the United States Air Force. On September 23, 1962 in Wamego, Kansas, he was united in marriage to Sharon Sue Hudson. Lynn loved fishing and camping. He thoroughly enjoyed his breakfast dates with his son at Jimmy's Egg. Surviving Lynn is his stepson, Rick Ferran of Halstead; children, Kim (Rick Johnson) Cope of Blackwell, Oklahoma, Gail Wege of El Dorado, Troy (Amber) Wege of El Dorado and Alta "Jo" Simpson of Wichita; 11 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and siblings, Jr Wege, Barbara Boese and Mary Smith. Lynn passed away peacefully with his family by his side on June 16, 2023. Preceding him in passing are his parents; wife, Sharon; daughter in law, LaDona Wege; son in law, Robert Cope; twin sisters, Ada Soden and Ida Schadion and great grandson, Riker Cope. Friends may gather with his family on Wednesday, June 21 at Carlson Chapel from 9-10 AM; funeral services will immediately follow. Burial will take place at Walnut Valley Memorial Park.
