Charles Brockman Obituary

Lt. Col. Charles D. Brockman, U.S.A.F. (retired), 77, of San Antonio, Texas, formerly of Butler, passed away June 13 in Texas.
Born in Butler on Aug. 1, 1929, he was the son of the late Dale H. and Mary Ligus Brockman.
He was a veteran who proudly served in the U.S. Air Force for more than 20 years before retiring in 1982.

He also worked in the construction business and at the Slovak Club in Lyndora. He sold real estate with his childhood friend, John Capers, at Capers Real Estate in Butler. He truly was a jack-of-all-trades.
Above all, he was a dedicated and loving husband and father and a kind-hearted soul who was generous to a fault. The perseverance he exhibited is an inspiration to all.
He is survived by his wife, Rosalie V. Brockman, to whom he was married for 54 years; one son, Kurt (Connie Swidzinski) Brockman of Butler; and one granddaughter, Cami Tack.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Elsie Brockman.
