Charles Vogt Obituary
Born on Nov. 21, 1951, in St. Marys, he was the son of the late Charles and Donna (O'Brien) Vogt.
Charles was employed in the logging business and later operated heavy equipment for 30 years.
An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, and pitching horseshoes. Despite his illness, Charles was still able to fully harvest and process his own deer last December. Above all, he loved and cherished his family and friends dearly.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Bonnie (Shade) Vogt, whom he married on May 10, 1980; four children, Jess, Chuck, Emily, and Bert; brother, Victor; four sisters, Vesta, Valiery, Vivian, and Vera, and four grandchildren.
Vogt- The family of Charles A. Vogt, who passed away Monday, June 30, 2014, will welcome friends from 4 to 9 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until the time of a funeral ceremony at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, with the Rev. Jeff MacKay officiating. Charles will be laid to rest with military honors at the English Lutheran Church Cemetery, Zelienople.
If desired, memorial contributions may be made in his honor in support of St. Christopher's at the Lake Parish, 229 N. Franklin St., Prospect, PA 16052.

Bonnie, Emily and Bert,
So sorry to hear of Charlie's passing. I have many fond memories of him up at camp. There is no doubt in my mind that my dad was there to welcome him with a cold beer and direct him to the best horseshoe pit! Take care!

Bonnie and family, Sorry to hear that Charlie has gone to be with his friends from the past. Memories pop into my head from time to time of our moments at camp. Keep happy thoughts of memories of the past. This will help all of you deal with your sorrows. Prayers will keep coming for all of you. Loving sympathy, Joanne Herbe-Majors and Buck.
