Dear Mona, Andy and Susan,
Sorry to hear of Danny's death. He was one of my best friends through most of elementary school. I have many fond memories of long summer days doing what kids do. He was responsible for my interest in astronomy, dinosaurs and the insect world. Because of him I could name all the planets in order before all the other kids. Often, Danny, Raymee and I would head off to the woods above Pearl St and spend all day trudging around, returning to that sunroom off his bedroom where we would preserve and mount our specimens. Then there were the winter days sledding down Bluff St when the city would block it off. It looks like he also made a lasting impression on many others. God bless you all.

Daniel Parsons was one of the most amazing people that have lived in this world. His intelligence, sarcasm, love, compassion, and witty cynicism made him not only fun to talk with and be around, but they also made him an inspiration to all of us. He was one of the few people to live in this world, and be open to its infinite questions. Daniel was one of the hoi aristoi who were able to lift themselves out of the cave and into the incredible glory and light of the illuminating sun. I love him with all my heart as an uncle, inspiration, and friend. I only wish i could have known him more. We should all take Dan as an example, and i will miss him as long as i live. Danny was my friend.
I will miss him.
As kids, We shared many trip into the wild blue yonder. He was the smartest person I have ever known. He knew every bug, insect, fossel, star, butterfly, bird, tree. In the long & short of it he was into everything on this earth. His curiosity was un limited. He was a walking encyclopedia. He loved to show others new stuff. My fondest memories were with him on one of his adventures. I/we went places saw thing & explored our little universe like no one else on earth.
I will miss my friend.
I believe my love of nature and the simple things are a result of the things he taught me. When I go hunting or fishing I am always looking for new things that I have never seen before, a plant, a bug, a fossel something new something unique to me. My friend taught that to me.
I will miss my friend.
Growing up he had the neatest bedroom in the world. There was a room like a summer room that was full of all of the greatest things on nature, universe and everything in between.
I will mess my friend.
A couple of years ago I got in touch with him. I learned of his problems and we talked. I now wish we had talked more.
Have I told you yet that I will miss my friend?
My sympathies go out to Mona, Susan, and of course Andy. I wish so much that I could wave my wand and bring him back and make everything as they were but I can't. I will keep him in my mind with fond memories and a knowledge of the fact that I was blessed and privilege of having known him.
Rest in peace my friend, I will miss you
