Fran Hensler, Ministry Scheduler (Retired)
September 24, 2025
I had the privilege of serving as the scheduler for volunteer ministers at St. Peter Church in Slippery Rock-now part of St. Faustina Parish with five worship sites - for many years. Among all the dedicated volunteers, Dave stood out as exceptionally cooperative and generous. He once told me, paraphrased: "If you ever need someone, I´m willing to serve anytime, anywhere." And he truly lived by that promise - often stepping in on short notice, especially when someone had to cancel unexpectedly. His quiet reliability and unwavering commitment were a gift to our parish community.
Dave´s kindness and readiness to serve left a lasting impression. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the joy of working alongside him.

Dave was a volunteer for St. Faustina Parish. Dave's devotion to our Lord, and the church, is inspirational. He would make himself available for any church as Lector, Eucharistic Host and/or Chalice including for those homebound. Dave always had a smile, kindness and goodness for everyone. Truly an extraordinary good man. May God Bless you Dave and your family always.

Dave and I grew up together and our houses were almost back to back separated by the alley that was famous for sledriding and catching bees and butterflies. Once in a while his dad we called "hair" for the wild looking hair on his head would get the kids from the neighborhood and pile into his station wagon to go out and play baseball. We had fun growing up together and got into some trouble too. But they are great memories to have with Dave.
