Edith "Edie" Kennedy, 57, of Butler, passed away Friday, March 28, 2025.
She was born in Pittsburgh on Feb. 14, 1968, to the late George (Aline Haag) Zeigler and Maxine (Romanoff) Zeigler.
Edie worked in the medical billing field, and she was very passionate about her work and a hard worker. She was known for being caring, funny, quick-witted and sarcastic, with a great sense of humor. Edie loved her family, especially her sons, and enjoyed spending time with them. She loved to travel and adored her pets. In her free time, Edie liked to sew, quilt and do crafts.
Edie was the beloved wife of David Kennedy, whom she married 31 years ago; mother of Micheal and Matthew Kennedy; stepmom of Kristin Emerick-Kennedy and Joseph Kennedy; sister of Michael and Peter Zeigler, Ethan and Anna Haag, and Shawn Butler; grandmother of Brendan Emerick; and aunt of Max, Molly, Alyssa, Michael and Amanda. She also is survived by Aline Haag, who was a loving motherly figure to Edie.
Along with her parents, Edie was preceded in death by her siblings, Kristina Blumenthal and Timmy Zeigler.
