Edith Grace Ice

Edith Grace Ice, 88, of Butler passed away at 11:45 p.m. Thursday at the Lowrie House at Sterling Village, Butler.
Grace was born July 5, 1927, in Washington Township. She was the daughter of the late Frank Gould and the late Mabel S. Depp Gould.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church of Emlenton. Grace was a member of the Stitch & Chatter Club since 1955. She was also previously a member of the North Washington VFD Auxiliary. Before losing her eyesight, she enjoyed sewing and making many beautiful quilts. She also enjoyed working with her husband making punched tin artwork that adorned some of her husband's handmade furniture. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend to all whom knew her.
Grace is survived by two daughters, Nancy (James) Jamison of Parker and Janet (Chester) Conti of West Sunbury; three sons, Lloyd E. Ice (Patricia) of West Sunbury, David G. Ice (Nancy) of Petrolia and Greg C. Ice (Connie) of West Sunbury; 15 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and her daughter-in-law, Peggy Ice, widow of son, Stanley.
Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Worth Ice, who passed away June 7, 2006; one son, Stanley Ice; an infant son; one grandson, Robert VanLieu; and one stepgrandson, Scott Jamison.
ICE - Friends of Edith Grace Ice, who died Thursday, Dec. 24, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jacob Langdon of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Emlenton officiating. Burial will be at the West Sunbury Union Cemetery.
