Tom was a dear friend of mine. I would see him at the Butler VA Medical Center and he'd come by and just sit and talk. We were always glad to see and talk to him. He was a good man. I hated to hear of his passing. We were out of town then and when we finally got the paper it was over and too late for the funeral. Our sympathy to all his family. He'll be missed.

I will always remember Tom showing me the picture of him with his p-38 ,which he flew from Britain to Germany in WWII. He was such a pleasant person to talk to, I enjoyed him so much and will sadly miss him. Our deepest sympathy to the Wigton family.

Ah yes Dr. Tom.
To the Family of Dr. Tom
I was 5 years old in 1951 went I went for my first appointment with Dr. Tom and of course scared. That was silly but of course I was to young to know that.
55 years later I would like to say this about Dr. Tom Wigton:
What a wonderful man!!!!
Here is a man more sucessful than most men and I am not speaking worldly.
His success is in having the most important values life has to acquire and earn, and he has them all.
Those are INTEGRITY, KINDNESS, COMPASSION, GENTLENESS, LOVE, DIGNITY and all the things the world does not have to offer. We went to the same church and I would see him very often there. He treated me like a family member even when I went for an appointment.
He acheived the epitome of all the goodnes life had to offer.
In other words the World considers success as "Mastercard Priceless".
Dr. Tom achieved the words we all hope and pray to hear which are:
"WELL DONE GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT", and we all know who said those words.
This is definitely a time to rejoice for the family and for friends because we know where he is and we know that he has already heard those words and has seen "HIM", and Dr. Tom's family will see their loved one to, and that means they and we are guaranteed to see "HIM" too.

Wigton Family - We are saddened by the loss of Dr. Tom. He was one of the nicest men that we knew. We enjoyed the time that he entertained us while examining our eyes, and were always happy to see him making the rounds of the waiting room when he had cut back on his work. Earth's loss is Heaven's gain!!
