George Barkin Obituary
Born Feb. 11, 1952, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late George J. Barkin Sr. and Dorothy Garrigan Barkin.
George leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter, Melanie (Pete) Comstock of Mentor, Ohio; his great-granddaughter, Gabriela Barkin of Renfrew, whom he adopted when she was 5 years old; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Virginia "Jenny" L. Barkin, whom he married on June 29, 1988, and who passed away on Feb. 15, 2022; his son, Michael James Barkin; and his sister, Bernadette Sens.
BARKIN - A memorial service for George J. Barkin Jr., who died Monday, May 29, 2023, is planned for a date yet to be determined.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER of Connoquenessing Township, 856 Evans City Road., Renfrew, PA 16053.

Gabby, I´m so sorry to hear about your grandfather. I just found out he passed away. He was such a kind man. Ginny and George were a real refuge for so many little creatures. I hope to see them young and healthy again.

George was such a nice guy. Him and his wife had been clients of mine years ago and talked about his daughter and his grand daughter with such love.
