Jay O'Donnell Obituary
Jay was born Aug. 18, 1962, in Butler. He was the son of the late Harry R. and Mary Louise Young O'Donnell.
He was a 1980 graduate of Butler Area High School.
He was the owner and operator of Captain Hook's Car Wash in Chicora, and the Karns City Car Wash. He was also part owner, with his brothers and sister, of the family businesses their parents began, O'Donnell's Distributor, Car Wash and Transport.
Jay loved spending time at camp. It was his "happy place."
He is survived by his son, Matthew O'Donnell of Butler; his son-in-law, Corey Kennedy of Butler; two grandchildren, Brystol and Brantley O'Donnell; his brothers, Harry "Butch" O'Donnell and his wife, Linda, and Dennis O'Donnell and his wife, Doris, all of Chicora, and Steve O'Donnell and his wife, Sherry, of Butler; his special friend, Lisa Manny; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Jay was preceded in death by his wife, Connie O'Donnell; his son, Justin O'Donnell; his sister, Judy O'Donnell-Roddy; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Peter and Joyce Monsilovich.
O'DONNELL - Private funeral arrangements for Jay A. O'Donnell, who died Monday, Nov. 15, 2021, are under the direction of Hile Funeral Home of Chicora.

Butch, Denny, Steve and families,
My deepest sympathy on Jay's passing. I never knew Jay to let his handicap keep him from doing anything - which started in LL baseball. God will surely bless him for that. He is also now reunited with most of his family. May God grant all of you peace, understanding, and comfort in this surely most difficult time. Z
