John Morgan Obituary

John A. Morgan
John A. "Jack" Morgan, 75, was greeted into the loving arms of God early Saturday morning after a courageous bout with an illness. He passed away at his Evans City home.
Born in Pittsburgh, Oct. 8, 1936, he was the son of John A. and Hilda Schmitt Morgan, who are deceased.
Jack was a member of St. Matthias Roman Catholic Church in Evans City.
He was a self-employed auctioneer, and he proudly served his country as an engineer in the U.S. Army. Jack enjoyed history and had a special interest in the Civil War.
Jack will be forever missed and remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, caring grandfather and most of all, a great man. Whether you knew him as Jack, Dad or Pap, everyone can agree that he was a good and honest man. After working hard his entire life, he can finally rest. He will always be loved.
Jack is survived by his wife, Virginia E. Saul Morgan, who he married May 11, 1957; two daughters and a son, Stacey (William) Lang, Julie M. Young and Michael (Melissa) Morgan, all of Evans City. Ten grandchildren also survive, Alex, Sam, Christian and Morgan Lang; Chole and Jack Young; and Hunter, Levi, Hannah and Eva Morgan.
MORGAN - Friends of John A. "Jack" Morgan, who died Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011, will be received at the A. CARL KINSEY-RONALD N. VOLZ FUNERAL HOME, 328 W. Main St., Evans City, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. A blessing service will be at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in the Evans City Cemetery.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to Parents in Toto, Autism Resource Center, 143 S. Main St., Zelienople, PA 16063, a 5013C organization.

I am so sorry for your loss. Jack was an exceptional person. As an attorney, I came to know Jack as he handled the sale of personal property for me in estate matters. However, I loved to discuss history with him, as his knowledge of history was enormous. He truly will be missed.

Mike and family - my deepest sympathies for the loss of your dad. I always remembered his love for the Civil War and while I have not seen your dad in many years, that thought would bring a smile to my face when I came across anything to do with the war. My prayers are with you during this most difficult time.
