John Murphy Obituary

John E. Murphy
John E. Murphy, 55, of Grove City, formerly of Harrisville and Slippery Rock, died at 10:03 p.m. Monday at UPMC-Montefiore, Pittsburgh, following an extended illness.
He was born in Baltimore, Md., on July 30, 1957, to Robert D. Murphy Sr. and Loretta Hunter Murphy.
He was self-employed most of his life. He formerly owned the Murphy Auto Care on Franklin Street in Slippery Rock, which he operated from 1988 till 2009.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Lodge 1895, Grove City, and the F.&A.M. Lodge 603, Grove City.
Surviving are his fiancee, Connie S. Breese of Grove City; two children, Mike Murphy of Utica, Pa., and Jackie Thiry of Harrisville; one sister, Carol Humphrey and her husband, Robert, of St. Cloud, Fla.; and one brother, Robert D. Murphy Jr. of Pittsburgh.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
MURPHY - Family services are private for John E. Murphy, who died Monday, Dec. 24, 2012. Burial will be in Prairie Cemetery, Harrisville.
Arrangements are by the Cunningham Funeral Home, Grove City.
