Joseph Mariotti Obituary
Born Jan. 9, 1948, in Butler, he was a son of the late Mario "Jeep" Mariotti and Antoinette Cherry Mariotti.
Joe was employed for 31 years as a mail handler for the U.S. Postal Service. He belonged to American Legion Post 117 of Butler, and he was an avid golfer.
He is survived by one son, Joseph James "Jay" Mariotti and his wife Michelle "Shelly," of Butler; two sisters, Lucy Malis and her husband, Jim, of Butler, and Ida Mariotti, of Butler; one beloved brother, Ralph Mariotti, of Butler; and two granddaughters, Gianna Lynn and Angelica Jaymes.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Charity A. McCommons Mariotti, who passed away Feb. 11, 2024.
MARIOTTI - There will be no visitation, and services will be private for Joseph Anthony Mariotti, who died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2025.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of MARTIN FUNERAL HOME SOUTH SIDE, 429 Center Ave., Butler.

Lucy, Ida & Ralph,
I´m so sorry to see Joe has passed away. It´s so difficult having siblings pass away. I will always remember the Mariotti kids coming over on Christmas Eve to play and eat lots of fudge & chips! Good memories, for sure. You´re in my thoughts & prayers.

I will miss Joe and his wife Charity. We have been neighbors for 27+ years. It will definitely not be the same without Joe stopping by to say hi and check in. They were definitely the best neighbors. Rest in peace. Prayers for peace and comfort for Jay, Shelly and the Girls.
