Judith Convery Obituary

Judith Ann "Judy" Convery, 78, of Butler, peacefully passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023, while surrounded by her loving family at Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia.
Born in Butler on Feb. 13, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Rene and Ann Elli Cornibe.
She was a licensed beautician. Judy was a member of Saint Francis of Assisi Parish, Saint Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church. She was a Eucharistic minister for the sick, she sang in the church choir, and she volunteered at the parish fish fries for many years. She also was an election poll worker for 30 years at Herman Fire Hall. In addition, she was a member of American Legion Post 117 and the Legion of Mary.
She is survived by her husband, Regis J. Convery, whom she married June 19, 1965, and would have celebrated 58 years of marriage; three children, Michele M. Cogley and her husband, Richard, of Kittanning, James L. Convery and his wife, Michelle, of East Butler, and Dean A. Convery and his companion, Faye Moore, of Prospect; two brothers, Joseph P. Cornibe and his wife, Barbara, of Pittsburgh, and Kenneth J. Cornibe and his wife, Connie, of Butler; four grandchildren, Julianne Cogley-Pifko and her husband, James Jr., Ashley Sherman and her husband, Josh, Justin Cogley and his wife, Brittany, and Jordan Cogley and his wife, Kayla; and five great-grandchildren, Nicholas Pifko, Jayden Stillwater, Connor Cogley, Devin Sherman and Riley Sherman.
CONVERY - Friends of Judith Ann "Judy" Convery, who died Thursday, June 1, 2023, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 429 Center Ave., Butler.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday from Saint Francis of Assisi Parish, Saint Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, 821 Herman Road, Butler, with the Rev. Ward Stakem, OFM Cap., officiating.
Burial will take place in Saint Mary's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, Pancreatic Cancer Research, UPMC Cancer Pavilion, Suite 1B, 5150 Center Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 16023; Good Samaritan Hospice, 134 Marwood Road, Cabot, PA 15232; or the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
