Karl M. Gajar
Karl M. Gajar, 60, of Zeigler Avenue died Sunday at his home.
Born Feb. 22, 1946, in Hungary, he was a son of the late Karl and Mary Lorenz Gajar.
He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and was a member of the American Legion.
Mr. Gajar had been a welder at Pullman Standard for six years until the plant closed. He also welded for a number of other companies in the Butler area and was a sales associate at Trader Horn in Butler for three years until he retired in 2002 due to health problems.
He was a Catholic.
He enjoyed sports and was an avid Steeler fan.
Surviving are his wife, Georganne Smith Gajar, whom he married Dec. 5, 1975; two daughters, Mrs. Kevin (Tonya) Blank of Mars and Mrs. Charles (Jan) Geyer of Butler; three sisters, Mrs. James (Gisell) Flesher of Georgia, Maryann Gajar of Harrisburg and Mrs. William (Margie) Norris of Zelienople.
Three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
A son and a brother preceded him in death.
GAJAR -- Friends of Karl M. Gajar, who died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St. Funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Sour Barkley, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church in Harmony, officiating.
