Leona Kraus Obituary
Born on April 27, 1921, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Hilda Paul Reitlinger.
Leona was a faithful member of the St. Matthias Catholic Church and the Evans City Senior Center. She also worked for A&P and John's Bar for 26 years.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving children, Richard G. (Mary) Kraus and Dennis R. (Donna) Kraus; her four grandchildren; her nine great-grandchildren; and her six great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Leona was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George S. Kraus; her daughter, Patricia A. Eckenrode, and son-in-law, Bill; her sister, Geraldine Szersznski; her brother-in-law, Frank; and two grandchildren.
Kraus - The Kraus family will welcome friends of Leona F. Reitlinger Kraus, who passed away Monday, March 16, 2015, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at theBoylan Funeral Home, 116 E. Main St., Evans City.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the St. Matthias Catholic Church, 417 E. Main St., Evans City. Leona will be laid to rest at Lakewood Memorial Gardens in Cheswick.

Funny how The Lord works. I have been thinking of all of for the last few days. Always miss you, always treasure sweet memories of getting together by the pool, hot sausage sandwiches, a true family. Thanks for letting me be a part of it.

Dear Family, Praising the Lord that I had a conversation with Leona not long ago. We had a nice little chat over the phone. So sorry to hear of your loss. Praying for peace at this sad time. I think of all of you often, and I still miss Patty so much. Love to all of you.
