Martha L. Sychak

Martha L. Sychak, 88, of Lyndora died Thursday evening at VNA Inpatient Hospice.
Born Dec. 26, 1929, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Leslie Barr and Margaret (Toner) Barr.
Martha graduated from Butler High School in 1948.
She had worked at the Spaide Shirt Factory and in the cafeteria at the Lyndora school, and also was a seamstress at Hart's Clothing Store in Butler.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Lyndora, the American Legion Post 778 Auxiliary and the Ladies Guild at St. John's.
She enjoyed playing cards and bingo, spending time with her family and visiting her daughter in Florida.
Surviving are her children, Robert M. (Elizabeth) Sychak of Butler, Susie (Jim) Jarvie of Florida and Lee Ann (Ricky) Kradel of Butler; four grandchildren, Kelsey Kradel, Ryan (Mandy) Kradel, Aaron Kradel and Jennifer Sychak; one step-granddaughter, Kelley (Tom) Collins; three step-great-granddaughters, Lauren Dunning, Allison (Derek) Norris and Savannah Dunning; one step-great-great-grandson, Wyatt Norris; two sisters, Peggy Fatigati of Virginia and Ruth Kaufman of Florida; one brother, William Barr of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Peter P. Sychak, whom she married June 16, 1951, and who died July 11, 2014; and her brother, Robert Barr.
SYCHAK - Friends of Martha L. Sychak, who died Thursday, April 26, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.
Parastas services will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 105 Kohler Ave., Lyndora. The Rev. Radko Blichar will officiate.
Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.
