Nelson Jendza Obituary
He was born Jan. 20, 1992, in Edison, N.J., the son of David F. Jendza and Bobbi Johnston of Butler.
Nelson had worked at the Walmart in the Butler Commons as a cashier. He was a 2010 Butler High School graduate, where he had attended Butler Area Vocational-Technical School and had been an ROTC member. Nelson loved history, especially reading about World War II.
Surviving are his parents, David F. Jendza and Bobbi Johnston of Butler; his maternal grandmother, Marion Johnston of Pittsburgh; and his sister and brother, Lindsey and Tyler Jendza, both of Butler.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
JENDZA - Services for Nelson Robert Jendza, who died Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016, will be private with the assistance of the Young Funeral Home, Butler.

To the Jendza family, I am so sorry for the passing of your son Nelson, I knew him in passing at Walmart and my daughter went to school with him , We send you our sympathy and prayers at this difficult time. Hold tight in your heart all your precious memories of him and always know he is watching over you as your guardian Angel. Rest easy Nelson, you were greatly loved and will be missed.

I'm glad that I had the opportunity of becoming friends with such a kindhearted guy. From Applebee's trivia nights to concerts & even having our breaks match up at work. I will miss your presence. There hasn't been a day that you haven't crossed my mind. I'm going to miss our hilarious BS convos (esp when I would walk past customer service!) & you just being yourself & so kind to everyone you came in contact with. Rest easy Nelson. You're missed more than you'd ever imagine.

I didn't know Nelson personally, only from passing through his checkout at Wal Mart many times. Such a friendly and kind young man. My sympathies to your family.

To all of Nelson's loved ones,
I only knew Nelson through going through his line at Wal Mart.. He was such a kind soul and the only bright spot of the shopping trip. I enjoyed talking to him about the music he loved.. I am so, so sorry for your loss! He will be missed!!! My prayers to his kind soul and to all of you.
