Paul Schmidt Obituary

Paul Schmidt, 58, of Butler, passed away on Monday, Dec. 9, 2024.
He was born in Springfield, Mass., on April 12, 1966, to Paul and Donna Jean (Young) Schmidt. Paul graduated from Moniteau High School in 1984, and then honorably served in the U.S. Air Force from 1984 to 1988. After being discharged, Paul was employed as a diesel mechanic.
Paul affectionately was referred to as the "teasing uncle" by his great-nieces and great-nephews. He also was known for always being willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Paul was a member of American Legion Post 117 in Butler.
Paul was the brother of Mary (Denny) Blom, Sue (Tom) Midberry and Patty Schmidt End. He also is survived by numerous nephews.
SCHMIDT - Family and friends of Paul Schmidt, who died Monday, Dec. 9, 2024, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16, at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler. Full military honors will follow.
