Richard “Buzzy” Boscia Obituary

Richard "Buzzy" Boscia, 83, of Evans City, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2025.
He was born in Pittsburgh on March 7, 1942, to the late Anthony and Cecelia (Brozak) Boscia.
Richard graduated with honors from Toner Military School. He worked numerous jobs throughout his life, but also worked as a millwright at Cleveland-Cliffs in Pittsburgh, and formerly worked as a police officer in Etna, Pa. He enjoyed being the coach of the girls' softball team of Etna and being in the choir and an usher at All Saints Church.
Richard is survived by his wife of 59 years, Carol (Cook) Boscia; son, Richard (Jennifer) Boscia Jr.; his cherished daughter, Tina (Bruce) Bryner; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Along with his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his sisters, Marlene Palmer and Nancy Nowacki; granddaughter, Desiree; and his great-grandson, Jesse.
BOSCIA - Family and friends of Richard "Buzzy" Boscia, who died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2025, will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler. A prayer service will immediately follow in the funeral home.
A celebration of life luncheon will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, at The Presbyterian Church of Prospect, 115 Church St., Prospect, PA 16052.
