Rita Hynes Obituary

Rita A. (Baker) Hynes, 78, of Cranberry Township, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2021, while under the care of Paramount Senior Living of Bethel Park.
She was the daughter of the late Don and Ethel Frazier Baker.
Rita was an avid Steelers fan, and a committed wife to her late husband, Marshall "Smokey" Hynes. She took great pride in working as a registered nurse at both St. Francis and St. Clair hospitals.
Rita will be remembered most by her loved ones as a strong and independent woman.
Rita leaves behind her children, Marshall Steven Hynes of Maryland, Donn W. (Laurianne) Hynes of Maryland and Christopher J. (Tracey) Hynes of Pittsburgh; her grandchildren, Sean Hynes, Rachel Hynes, Christopher Newman, Jamie Newman, Joshua Hynes and Jacob Hynes; and her brother, William (Kathy) Baker.
In addition to her parents, Rita was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall "Smokey" Hynes; and her sister, Bonnie L. Hall.
HYNES - Friends of Rita A. (Baker) Hynes, who died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2021, will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. An Angels of Allegheny Service will be held during evening viewing hours.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter's Reformed Church, 320 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.
Rita will be laid to rest at South Plain Grove Cemetery in Slippery Rock.
