Sharon was such a good mentor to many young women during the many years I knew her through Business and Professional Women's Club membership - myself included. She was always positive and encouraging and willing to reach out to others. It was so very sad to learn of her passing but she will always be remembered with great fondness. My condolences to her family and friends.

My deepest sympathies - Miss Walsh was a great teacher and will be missed. She made math class fun. She and my dad (Orville Himes) were co-sponsors of my SVHS Class (1976) so I felt fortunate to have gotten to know her a little better than just in the classroom. I hope her family can find comfort in knowing she touched so many lives in a positive way and is now able to be at peace.

Miss Walsh was one of my favorite teachers. She was also a great volleyball coach. I am thankful for her years of sharing her teaching and coaching gifts. God Bless.

It's extremely sad to hear of Miss Walsh's passing. I was a Shannock graduate in 2000 and Miss Walsh worked with us as our class sponsorer. I look back on the time with her as some of the best memories I have from high school, especially her taking us to Florida for our senior class trip. Being a teacher now, people ask me why I became a teacher and I say I'd like to inspire people to do what motivates them. Miss Walsh was that to me and many other people. I'd like to think that Miss Walsh had a soft spot in he heart for the class of Shannock Valley 2000 because we certainly did for her.
