Stella Swope Obituary

Stella Swope, 93, of West Sunbury passed away at 1 p.m. Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Stella was born Jan. 9, 1921, in Jeanette. She was the daughter of the late John Nazar and the late Anna Corba Nazar.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Springdale Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Stella is survived by two sons, Robert David Swope, and his wife, Sandra, of Georgia and Donald L. Swope of West Sunbury; four grandsons, Robert, Richard, Scott and Christopher Swope; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Katherine McGregor of West Sunbury and Mrs. Les (Sophie) Green of Butler.
Stella was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Swope, who passed away Jan. 6, 1994; four sisters; and three brothers.
SWOPE - The family of Stella Swope, who died Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, will receive friends at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Carl Hendrickson, her pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
