Vincent Rodgers Obituary

Vincent "Vinny" J. Rodgers, 41, of Butler, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024.
Born March 3, 1983, in Butler, he was the son of Nancy J. Rodgers (Rhodaberger) and George J. Rodgers.
Vinny was a jack of all trades who worked numerous jobs throughout his life, spending his final years with the ARC of Butler County. He enjoyed listening to a wide variety of music; most notably he was a lifelong fan of heavy metal music. Vinny enjoyed playing video games, watching films and attending concerts. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends to the extent he considered many of his family members his closest friends. Vinny enjoyed spending time with his friends at their weekly Guy's Night and at the family camp.
Vinny leaves behind the love of his life, Katrina Espinosa; and his stepdaughters, Alexis Wilson and Rachel Wilson. He also leaves behind his parents, Nancy and George Rodgers; his siblings, Robert D. Rodgers and Michelle Rodgers (Plofchan), Scott A. Rodgers, and Matthew J. Rodgers and Kelly Rodgers (Donachy); and half-siblings, Richard McDeavitt and Trisha McDeavitt, and Crystal Walsh and Matt Walsh. Vinny also leaves behind his nieces and nephews, Braeden, Alyssa, Camden, Maura, Lucas, Lincoln, Anthony, Arabella, Adora, Tristan and Joe. He also leaves behind his maternal grandmother, Jane Rhodaberger; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Robert Rhodaberger; his paternal grandparents, George and Edna Rodgers; his cousin, Sylvester Rhodaberger; his niece, Alyssa McDeavitt; and countless other family members.
RODGERS - Friends of Vincent "Vinny" J. Rodgers, who died Tuesday, May 14, 2024, will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John Roman Catholic Church, 668 Clearfield Road, Fenelton (Coylesville).

Vince was a terrific friend and fun to be around. Best person to watch musicals on TV and dance and sing with. He will be greatly missed by anyone that was lucky enough to get to know him and spend any amount of time with him.
