William “Bill” Horne Obituary

William "Bill" Glenn Horne, 75, of Laingsburg, Mich., passed Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2025, at his home.
Known as Bill to his loved ones, he was born Dec. 18, 1949, in Butler County. He was the son of Francis and Thelma (Stephenson) Horne. His childhood was spent on the family farm with his siblings, Joyce, Francis and Roy.
Bill married his wife, Jacqueline Forquer, on May 25, 1974.
They moved to Laingsburg in 1975, welcoming children, Edward W. (Julia) Allen, Angeline Levendoski, Linda (Andy) Wright and William L. Horne. Bill's legacy continued to flourish with the joy of his grandchildren, Tyler, Evelyn, Kayla, Owen, Shelby, Kaitlynn, Isabella and Payton.
Bill eagerly awaited deer season every year.
In addition to his wife, children and grandchildren, Bill's siblings, Roy Horne and Joyce Cranmer, along with several nieces and nephews, survive him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis G. Horne and Thelma (Russ) Kline; and his brother, Francis Horne.
In every aspect of his life, Bill displayed an unwavering commitment to his family, his work and his country. His legacy is not only in the structures he built or the gardens he tended, but in the strong family ties he fostered and the countless lives he touched through his generous spirit.
