Willis J. Harvey
Willis J. Harvey, 78, of Buffalo Township died at 2:30 a.m. Sunday at Alle-Kiski Medical Center, Natrona Heights.
Born Jan. 5, 1927, in Sarver, he was the son of James L. and Jane P. Livingston Harvey and lived in the Sarver area his entire life.
Mr. Harvey was an Army veteran of World War II.
He attended the Zion United Methodist Church in Buffalo Township and was a member of the American Legion Post 683 in Jefferson Township. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family.
Mr. Harvey had been at truck driver. He first worked at Westerman's and retired in 1991 from Don Martin Trucking in Buffalo Township after 40 years.
Surviving are two sons, Dennis J. (Marilyn) Harvey of Cabot and David L. Harvey of Saxonburg; three daughters, Lisa M. (Wesley) Acre of Saxonburg and Tracy K. (James W.) Junk and Jennifer E. (Timothy) Simpson, both of Cabot; six grandchildren, Tina Martsolf, Jeremy Harvey, Stephen and Gregory Acre, Sasha Harvey and Corey Simpson; and two great-grandchildren, Chelsea and Cody Martsolf.
He was preceded in death by wife, Maxine H. Wissinger Harvey, who died Feb. 26, 1993; a brother, George E. Harvey; and a sister, Susan J. Wynecoop.
HARVEY - Friends of Willis J. Harvey, who died Sunday, April 17, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at DENNIS J. DAUGHERTY FUNERAL HOME, 324 Fourth St., Freeport. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jeffrey Moore, pastor of Jefferson Center Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Sarverville Cemetery, Buffalo Township.
Full graveside military honors will be accorded by the Vandergrift Veterans' Honor Guard.
