Arlo Sweetman Obituary

Arlo Eugene Sweetman Jr. passed away September 12th, 2025 peacefully at his home in Cartersville, Georgia. Arlo was a perfect Gentleman, compassionate and kind. He had a heart of solid Gold and would not let anyone go if they had a need. He always wanted to help others. He was someone you could always talk to and laugh with. Arlo really enjoyed his retirement and helping with Piedmont College of Theology Georgia. Arlo loved spending time with his family. He took great pleasure in cooking for others. Arlo was a member of House of Deliverance in Ranger, Ga. and really loved his church family, He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him, and if you knew him you did love him. You couldn't help but love him. Arlo was born on December 25, 1961 to Arlo E. Sweetman Sr. (Deceased) and Patricia D. (Townsend) Pence in Rock Island, Illinois. Arlo is survived by his wife Twilla Sweetman, Mother Patricia Pence, Brothers Mark Sweetman and Luke Pence, Sisters Melissa Lewis and Penny Calhoun. Children Arlo E. Sweetman III (AJ), Patrica E Patterson, and Thomas Sweetman. Grandchildren Brailey, Bryer, Drew, Michael, Tyler, Twyla, Ellie, Maddie, Allie, Ollie and Evelyn Including many spouses, nieces and nephews. Preceding Arlo in death were his father Arlo Sr. and his Brothers Paul Lee Roy Sweetman and Mathew Sweetman. Services were held September 16th, 2025 for Arlo at his home church House of Deliverance in Ranger, Georgia.
