Agapito Martinez, Jr., 56, went to be with our Heavenly Father on January 13, 2018 after a sudden illness. He was born on January 16, 1961 in Robstown, Texas to Agapito and Maria Duron Martinez. He was a devout member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, a volunteer with social services and was involved with numerous church and community events. He was a truck driver, owner/operator for over 35 years. He will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Marissa Lamar Martinez; and his mother-in-law, Zulema Isaac Gracia.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years of marriage, Lamar Gracia Martinez; his daughter, Clarissa Jadelynn Martinez; three brothers, Gilbert (Minerva) Martinez, Oscar Martinez, and Ricky Martinez; his sisters, Alicia (Luis) Arenas, Esther (Robert) Chavera, Ruth Martinez (Bobby Barrera), Jeany (Manuel) Lopez, Yolanda (Patsy Gonzalez) Garza, Anita (Jesse) Valdez, Hermelinda Chavez; father-in-law, Mario Gracia; brothers-in-law, Mario (Cindy) Gracia, Jr., Jaime (Rachel) Gracia; sister-in-law, Cris (Randy) Pendleton. He was blessed with numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers in his honor will be Ricky Castro, Ernest Obregon, Tony Gonzalez, Luis Arenas, Ricky Cruz, Joey Lerma, Leonard Villarreal and Roman Solis.
A Rosary will be recited at 7pm on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Ramon Funeral Home Chapel in Robstown, Texas. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1pm on Friday, January 19, 2018 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Robstown, Texas with Fr. Gerry Sheehan officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Robstown, Texas.
