Alex Benavides, Jr.Alice, TXAlex Benavides, Jr. 21 years of age passed away on July 13, 2013 from injuries sustained in a Motorcycle accident in New Braunfels. He attended Alice High School and King High School. He was an Army Veteran who served in Afghanistan and at present was employed by Tri-Element of Alice. Alex is preceded in death by his paternal great-grandparents, Anselmo and Aurora Benavides, Maternal great-grandparents, Eduardo and Sofia Garza. Alex is survived by his wife, Courtney Benavides of Refugio, one unborn son, Bentley R. Benavides, two daughters, Madilynn A. Benavides and Raileigh F. Benavides of Refugio, his father, Alex (Tania) Benavides of Corpus Christi, his mother, Michelle (Manuel) Soto of Refugio, two brothers, Aaron Benavides of Corpus Christi, Isaiah Benavides of Corpus Christi, one sister, Daniela Benavides of San Diego, paternal Grandparents, Aida and Antonio Benavides of Alice, maternal grandmother, Marva Crocker of Refugio, maternal grandfather, Michael (Susie) Wise, Sr. of Mathis, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home- Alice, with a rosary scheduled at 7 p.m. that evening at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church and burial will follow at the Coastal Bend State Veteran's Cemetery located at 9974 IH 37 Corpus Christi, Texas.
