Beatrice Flores CastilloCorpus Christi, TXOn October 21, 2015, Beatrice Flores Castillo of George West, Texas, formerly of Corpus Christi, passed away. She was 101 years old and was married for 65 years to her loving husband, Raul Gonzales Castillo who preceded her in death. Beatrice was born on May 1, 1914, to Paula and Martin Flores in Corpus Christi, Texas. Beatrice graduated from Corpus Christi High School in 1930. Beatrice's passions were spending time with her family and tending to her beautiful flower gardens. Above all else Beatrice's greatest passion was her devotion to the Holy Spirit and spending time with her best friend Jesus in prayer, reading her bible and sharing His love and faithfulness with everyone she met. Beatrice was a gentle woman who went through life sowing seeds of love, kindness and hope in Jesus Christ.Beatrice was preceded in death by her youngest grandchild, Stephen John Neale of Rockville, Maryland, and her brother, Rudolfo Zuniga Flores of Corpus Christi. She is survived by her children, Raul (Olga) Castillo of Corpus Christi, Robert (Rebecca) Castillo of Corpus Christi, Olga Castillo Garza (Edmund) of Clegg, Texas, Mary Castillo Neale(Robert) of Rockville, Maryland, 15 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and numerous relatives. A Mass of Christian burial and celebration of her life will take place at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 1308 Comanche, Corpus Christi, on Friday, October 23, 2015, at 11 o'clock in the morning. The rosary will be recited prior to mass. Interment to follow immediately at Rose Hill Memorial Park.Pallbearers will be: Rudy Flores Jr., John Castillo, Raul Castillo III., Robert Castillo Jr., Robert Neale Jr., Edmund Garza Jr.Beatrice will be remembered lovingly by her family, numerous friends, neighbors and by the many lives she touched in sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ. The family would like to thank the staff of Alameda Oaks Nursing Home for their compassion and loving care of our mother.
