Charles Knox Jenkins, M.D., (Charlie), passed away on 17 December, 2006 at the age of 66. He was born in Sinton, Texas as the second son of Young Sam Jenkins, M.D, and Christine Futch Jenkins of Taft, Texas. He graduated Salutatorian from Taft High School. Charlie completed his pre-med studies at the University of Texas in Austin where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity and other organizations. After his medical training at Southwestern Medical School and internship with Parkland Memorial in Dallas, he completed his radiology training at Harvard Medical School with residency at Mass General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.
