Charles Reese Obituary

Charles Howard Reese

Kingsville, TX

Charles Howard Reese, 88 years and 364 days old, passed away at 9:10AM on March 20, 2018 at Spohn Kleberg Hospital in Kingsville, TX with his loving wife and best friend Patty at his side.

Howard was born in Kingsville, TX on March 21, 1929 to Ethel & Hill Reese. His early years were spent in Kingsville and he attended elementary school there. He attended and graduated from TMI in San Antonio, TX.

Howard proudly served his country as a Captain in the United States Marines. He was a veteran of the Korean War (1952-53). Semper Fi!!!

After his service, he continued his education at Texas A&I College in Kingsville. He graduated with a degree in Business.

In the early '50's Howard started dating a girl that would end up being the love of his life. On December 21, 1955 Howard and Patty were married in the town of Kingsville.

Howard was a hunter and he really looked forward to the trips to the lease with his hunting buddies. All we will say on the other subject is that the hunters were never hungry or thirsty.

He also enjoyed "Poker Night" with the boys. He had his share of wins and losses, but more important than that, they all had a great time as well as playing golf at the Celanese Golf Course.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel and Hill Reese.

Howard is survived by his wife Patty, 2 daughters: Karen Reese of Corpus Christi and Sarah Martinez of San Antonio, granddaughter Katie Martinez of San Antonio, grandson Jacob Martinez of Houston, 2 sisters: Mary Mahon (Willis) of Dallas and Nancy Stedman (Cecil) of Brazoria, 3 nieces: Laura Jones (Rusty) of Arlington, Sally Rueffer (Jack) of Brazoria, Phyllis Stedman of Brazoria, 3 nephews: Randall Mahon (Becky) of Atlanta,GA , Conner Bishop (Brenda) of Corpus Christi, Bill Bishop (Eliza) of Houston, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
