Duncan Eric BassCorpus Christi, TXOne thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple.Psalm 27:4Duncan Eric Bass was born in Dayton,Ohio on December 31, 1957 to the late Iola and Earl Bass. He went home to be with the Lord on February 10, 2014. He loved the Lord and was baptized at an early age in Suggsville, Alabama. He grew up in Ohio and Alabama. Duncan served in the United States Navy. Because of his military service, he had lived in many places. Duncan was a practical joker and loved to have fun. He had a way of becoming friends with whomever he met. Once you met him, you always remembered him because he would draw you into a conversation. He was passionate about technology and loved to keep up with the latest trends. Duncan ran his own computer repair business. He also loved golfing, playing chess and cards with friends. Duncan was a student of the Word and very active in the ministry of St. John Baptist Church. He served as a deacon, teacher and led the website and computer ministries.One brother, Melvin Bass, preceded him in death.He leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters, Erica Bass and Micah Bass; two sons, Eric (Matchabelli) Bass and Cortney (Rashad) Bass; one step daughter Niah Lew two sisters, Minister Ivy Coleman and Cheryl Nesbitt; one brother Illess (Brennen) Bass; a special aunt, Retha Harper; two nieces, Shayna Brewer and Keatra Nesbitt; two nephews, David La Grenade and Justin La Grenade and a host of other relatives and friends.A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, February 24, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery with full military honors.
