Eladio Silvas Obituary

SILVAS Eladio V. Silvas was born on February 18, 1930 to Santos and Juanita Silvas and raised on the King Ranch till he was about age 14, then moved to Corpus Christi, Texas. He married his wife, Maria M. Silva on January 30, 1950. Eladio was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, son and brother. He was very close to his family and cherished every moment he could spend with them. He will always be remembered for his commitment to his family, his enduring love and his laughter. Eladio enjoyed fishing and playing guitar for his family and most importantly, in his later years, serving Jehovah God. Eladio is preceded in death by his parents, Santos and Juanita Silvas, brother, Fabian Silvas, Sr., sisters, Elvira Castillo, Paulita Zaragosa, Maria Salazar, Paula Castillo, Mercedes Robles, Inez Lugo and Sofia Garza. Eladio is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Maria M. Silvas, son, Eladio Silvas (Betty), grandsons, Japheth Silvas (Carla), Joshua Silvas (Lindsey) and their mother, Pat Silvas, granddaughter, Melissa Carter (Eric), great granddaughter, Laynie Silvas, brother, Santos Silvas, Sisters, Juanita De Leon, Rosa Velos and numerous nieces and nephews. Services were held on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at Corpus Christi Funeral Home. Interment was held at Rose Hill Memorial Park.The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Corpus Christi Rehab and Nursing Center.
