Eliseo Ruiz

RUIZ Eliseo 'Buddy' Ruiz, 72, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2011 in Benavides, Texas. He was born February 9, 1939 to Candelario and Tomasa Ruiz in Benavides, Texas. He was very proud to have served in the U.S. Navy including two tours in Vietnam. He was a very proud father and grandfather.He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Jimmy and Roel and his sister, Dolores. Eliseo is survived by his daughter, Tina (Johnny) Ramirez; two sons, Shane (Vannesa) Ruis of Portland, Texas; Troy Ruis of Orange, California; two brothers, Placido Ruiz and Wenceslado Ruiz of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his companion, Dome Garza; five grandchildren, Nathan Hernandez Ruiz, Seth Ruiz, Blake Wright, Sean Wright, Brooklyn Wright; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at the Garza Funeral Home in San Diego, Texas with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. Graveside Services and Interment will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
