Elizabeth Dinn Obituary
Freer - Elizabeth "Betty" Billings Dinn, known to her immediate family as Oma, passed from this earth on May 13, 2021 after a long, brave battle with cancer, surround by family. Betty was born in Laredo Texas in 1941 to Floyd and Norma Brown Billings.
She was involved in the family's ranching business and though her family lived in several locations across Texas during her lifetime, she always called the Billing's Ranch home. Betty settled in Corpus Christi in 2006 to be near her children and grandchildren. Betty was highly dedicated to her role as the family matriarch. She was close to her brothers and sisters and doted on her children and grandchildren. Betty had a green thumb; there wasn't a plant she couldn't grow. She enjoyed drives to the family ranch with her sons and grandchildren and dinners with her family. In addition, she enjoyed supporting her community and local Catholic charities.
She is preceded in death by her toddler son Michael Shawn Dinn and two brothers, Floyd Charles Billing and Joseph Scott Billings.
Betty is survived by her two sons, James "Trey" Holmes (Kimberly) Dinn III of Alice and Thomas Carol (Lindi) Dinn of Corpus Christi; four cherished grandchildren, James, Roman, Alyssa and Rebekah Dinn; brother W.C. (Dawn) Billings of Freer, Texas; sister Mary Cecil Billings Walker of Freer, Texas and Kella Billings Figueroa of Bandera, Texas.
Visitation will be held Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Rosas Funeral Home Chapel from 10 am to 11 am with a funeral service to begin at 11 am. A private family graveside service will be held at the Billings Ranch. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to your favorite charity, it is what Oma would have appreciated.

Betty has been a great neighbor and friend for nearly 14 years. Always positive and upbeat even through reoccurring bouts with cancer. Never heard her say a negative comment about anything or anyone. She was very kind to me personally. She will be greatly missed.
