Frank AlanizCorpus Christi, TXFrank Alaniz, 53, of Corpus Christi, Texas, was sent to be with The Lord on Sunday January 5, 2014. Frank was born in McAllen, Texas and attended McAllen public schools and graduated from McAllen High. Frank also attended Texas A & I University in Kingsville. He had resided in Corpus Christi, Texas most of his life where he was employed by Wendy's Restaurant.He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Francisco (Frank) Alaniz and Lydia Alaniz.He is survived by his sisters, Lydia Gonzalez of Boerne, Silvia Garza of McAllen, Janie Nino of Houston, Dalia Aguirre (Cesar) of Humble; brother, Arturo Alaniz of San Antonio; along with several nieces and nephews. Also surviving Frank were his close friends, Chris and Colleen Soza of Alice, their children, Justin (God child), Felicia (Daniel), and Eric (Audrey) along with their grandchildren, Avery and Kaydance. Also very close and dear to him were Zeke and Abby Cantu of Portland, their children, Zekie, Blaine, Camron (God child), and Oleeva. All of the children referred to Frank as their 'Uncle Frank'.Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 10, 2014 in Mission, Texas at the Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery.Services are entrusted to Sawyer-George Funeral Home 12497 Leopard Street, Corpus Christi, Texas 78410 (361)242-3205
