Geneva Edwards Obituary

Geneva G. Edwards, passed away suddenly at her home in Corpus Christi, Texas where she lived since 1950. She was 82. She was born December 31, 1924 in Encino, Texas. Geneva was a loving and devoted mother. She married Aaron W. Edwards Sr. in 1948 and had four children. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1997 and her two sons; Don Thurlow Edwards in 1986 and David Windsor Edwards in 1967. The family returned to their home in Corpus in 1963. Geneva worked part time in local day care centers after her children were grown. She spent most of her time working in her yard even in her advanced age. She also enjoyed shopping at the mall and HEB every Wednesday with her son. She will be missed by her friends and family. Geneva never had a serious illness in her life and was unusual in her life long strength and vigor. When asked, she attributed her good health to “no drinking, no smoking and no air conditioning. Geneva has one granddaughter Cassie Teaka Edwards in Orlando, Florida She is also survived by a brother, Joe Garza (wife Bertha) in Falfurrias, Texas.
