Hi this is Peter. I don't know who will read this but I must share with you.... I just returned to mass at Saint Pius with my family and I was very sad to hear Deacon George had passed away in August.
I have remembered him in my prayers every morning and asked God to bless him since maybe 2005 or so when he helped my terminally ill brother return to the Catholic Church. Over the years, Deacon helped me cope with the death of two brothers and was the reason I returned to church when I was a younger man. He assisted my family when my sister in-law had a drug problem and helped her enter the Patrician Movement recovery center in San Antonio. That saved her life. I'm sure the Deacon had an impact on many lives and most definitely built a palace in heaven. Thanks.

George was like a brother to me, his cousin. We enjoyed each other immensely. I am an introvert so I don't have many friends so I cherished his friendship above all others. He told me that since he was born on the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, our grandparents thought of naming "Guadalupe." Dios le bendiga, carnal.
