Jamie Christopher Cantu

Jamie Christopher Cantu, age 18, entered the heavenly gates on May 31, 2007 in Kingsville, Texas from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was a 2007 graduate of Falfurrias High School and also attended the Premont Independent School District.He is survived by his parents, Samuel and Delicia Cantu of Premont, Texas; two brothers, Emmanuel (Nidra) Sanchez of Kingsville, Texas and Samuel Cantu Jr. of Falfurrias, Texas; one sister, Yesenia (Marco) Longoria of Falfurrias, Texas; paternal grandmother, Maria (Jimmy) Sneed of Premont, Texas; his girlfriend, Janessa Salinas of Falfurrias, Texas; one nephew, Christopher Medrano of Premont, Texas; and one niece, Beliza Longoria of Falfurrias, Texas.A Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at Saint Theresa's Catholic Church in Premont, Texas. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 also at Saint Theresa's Catholic Church in Premont. Burial will be in the Premont Cemetery in Premont, Texas.Pallbearers will be as follows: Emmanuel Sanchez, Juan Antonio Garcia, Christopher Medrano (honorary), Marco Longoria, Lamar Quintanilla, Samuel Cantu Jr., Jeremy Cantu, O.J. Pena, and Ryan Denton.Jamie had a smile that would light up any room. He would challenge anyone who was up to Madden 2007. He was a likeable and caring individual who lived life in the fast lane. J.C. had only one gear, he lived his life fast, stopping only to make someone laugh or to lend a helping hand. J.C. shared his passion for life with everyone. He could make friends with the most unlikely of people with the same love that was given to him, and this is what made him so special. His bright smile and charismatic personality will be greatly missed, but for every smile, laugh, or cry that J.C. left in this world he also left an infinite number of wonderful memories."I lived too fast and loved too much and I will die too young, but I choose this cup that I drank from; knew what I was getting in to."
