Johnny Fulton Obituary
FULTON It is with great sadness to let you know of the passing of Johnny Fred Fulton, 62 on 07/29/12, a lifelong resident of Flour Bluff- Corpus Christi, Texas. Johnny was known as "John John" and "Big John" to his friends, and to his family- dad, brother, son, cousin, uncle and paw paw. Johnny was a native of Brownwood, Texas and was the baby of 10 children of Mr. & Mrs. Bob Fulton. He attended the Brownwood Independent schools and then went to serve and defend his country in the United States Marine Corps. The marine moto, "Semper Fidelis" -always faithful describes Johnny best. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1968 and left as a veteran with honorable discharge in 1970. He worked as a painter at the Navy Base in Corpus Christi, Texas. Johnny had a passion for storytelling, friendship, animals, fishing at the beach especially wade fishing, fried chicken, listening to the radio, visiting with neighbors and friends, attending Timon's Ministries and Church Without Walls on Sunday afternoons. He had a tender smile and a soft laugh. He will be missed by all.He joins his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Fulton, mother, Lena Viola Stockton Fulton; father, Bailey B. Fulton, sister, Frances Richardson, brothers, James Fulton, Jacky Fulton, Dempsey Fulton, Lagette Fulton, in Heaven.Johnny is survived by his son, Shane Fulton of Granbury, Texas; step-sons, Christopher Clawson of Early, Texas and Michael Clawson of Early, Texas; grandchildren, Brooklyn Diane Fulton, Austin Shane Fulton, and Kolt Justice Fulton of Granbury, Texas, Nikki Clawson, Chase Clawson, Kasey Clawson of Early, Texas, sisters, Delores Jean Fulton Cox of Brownwood, Texas, Linda Fulton Windham of May, Texas, Wanda "Bonnie" Fulton Long of Watauga, Texas, brother, Billy G Fulton of Temple, Texas; and his extended family, Timon's Ministry, Town & Country Mobile Home park, and Church Without Walls. A private viewing was held on August 2, 2012 at Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral Home, Corpus Christi, Texas. Each person has shared a story about Johnny but can also do so in a Celebration of Life memorial service at a later date. A private interment will be held at the beach in Corpus Christi, TX at his favorite fishing spot he shared many times with his son.
