Juanita T. Jimenez was called to eternal rest with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, November 30, 2017. Juanita was born on October 10, 1944. Juanita was a brave, kind and gentle person who lived a faith-filled life and fully believed in and practiced the importance of family unity. Juanita's unselfish acts of kindness, generosity and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Miguel Jimenez; her parents Francisco and Irene Trevino; and her brothers Raul, Martin, Francisco and Alvaro Trevino.
She is survived by her children Sylvia (Jimmy) Martinez; Daniel Jimenez; Virginia (Manuel) Perez; Cynthia (Ramiro) Villa; Norma (Ramiro) Ochoa; Miguel (Juanita) Jimenez, Jr.; and Julian (Anna) Jimenez; ten grandsons; nine granddaughters; eight great-grandsons; and seven great-granddaughters. She is also survived by her sisters Reyes Hernandez and Ramona Herring; her brothers Hector Trevino, Robert Trevino and Jose (Gracie)Trevino; and her brothers-in-law Bernardo (Santa) Jimenez and Jaime (Blanca) Jimenez and sister-in-law Stella (Paul) Rodriguez.
Visitation will be held at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass, Texas, on Sunday, December 3, 2017, from 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m., and on Monday, December 4, 2017, from 11:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday evening.
A celebration Mass will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Portland, Texas at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 with interment to follow at The Palms Cemetery in Portland.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Lee Sang for his guidance, support and sincere care. They would also like to thank Christy, Lea, Karen, Lee, and Madonna with Christus Spohn Hospice for the attention, dedication and compassion that they provided over the last several months. The sensitivity these individuals shared while helping Juanita during her brave struggle through her illness is appreciated by the entire Jimenez Family. May God bless you all.
