Leonel Benavides Gonzalez, 84, passed away on June 06, 2018. He was born on September 06, 1933 in Robstown Texas, He graduated from Robstown High School and attended Texas A & I University. He moved to Houston TX in1961, where he lived until his passing. He worked primarily in sales and loved to spend time with friends and family. He will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Fortunato Gonzalez & Petra Benavides Gonzalez; his brothers; Leopoldo Gonzalez and Leonardo "Nagito" Gonzalez; his sister, Herminia G. Buitron; and his daughter, Magda B. Gonzalez.
He is survived by his children, Leonel B. Gonzalez (Valerie), Gerardo B. Gonzalez (Hannah), Roberto B. Gonzalez (Cristina), Roxanna G. Stephens (Mark) and Ximena G. Domagalski (Eric). He was also loved and adored by his twelve grandchildren, Nicole Gonzalez, Nicholas Gonzalez, Gabriel Gonzalez, Roberto Gonzalez II, Monica Gonzalez, Alyssa Gonzalez, Christopher Stephens, Angela Lamar, Manuel Lopez, Leonel Lopez, Julia Domagalski, and Audrey Domagalski, nine great-grandchildren, Svea Gonzalez, Roberto Gonzalez III, Gyzel Lopez, Manuel Lopez Jr., Jole Lopez, John Lamar, Casidee Stephens, Skye Stephens, Athena Gonzalez and numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at 5pm to 9pm on Sunday, June 10, 2018 with a rosary to be recited at 7pm that evening at Ramon Funeral Home Chapel in Robstown, Texas. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am on Monday, June 11, 2018 at St Anthony's Church in Robstown, Texas. Burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery in Robstown, Texas.

Leo was a great friend and neighbor to us and our daughters since we met first met him, Martha and Ximena we first met in 1989. We hold many fond memories over the years of Leos generosity, friendship and infectious laughter. He will truly be missed.
